Shuffle KYC verification: levels, documents and timing
Shuffle KYC verification runs in levels, from basic personal details to photo ID, a selfie and proof of address. Its terms allow an ID check before your first withdrawal. Here is what each level asks for, when it is triggered, why uploads get rejected and how to protect what you send.
What is Shuffle KYC verification?
Shuffle KYC verification is the identity check that Natural Nine B.V., the Curaçao company behind Shuffle, runs to confirm who holds an account. KYC stands for know your customer. It is a licence condition: Shuffle holds Curaçao licence OGL/2024/1337/0628, and Curaçao's rules, like anti-money-laundering law almost everywhere, require operators to verify players and check where larger sums come from.
Shuffle signs players up with very little: a username, email, password and date of birth. That light start is why Shuffle is often described as a casino with no KYC. The terms say otherwise. Clause 5.2 lets Shuffle ask for government ID when you reach a threshold "and in any event before your first withdrawal", and clause 5.4 allows selfies, database checks and source-of-funds or source-of-wealth requests. Our Shuffle no KYC guide covers what you can do before verifying; this page covers the checks themselves.
In practice, Shuffle's own deposit and withdrawal guide says most users need at least Verify Level 1 to withdraw, and higher levels are requested as amounts grow or the risk team asks.
Shuffle verification levels explained
Shuffle's account settings show a Verification tab with numbered levels. Independent reviews and the site's own interface describe them like this.
Level 1: personal details
Your full name, date of birth and address, entered as text. Fiat methods such as Interac or Pix may need these details anyway (terms 3.2). Level 1 is the floor for withdrawals in Shuffle's own guidance.
Level 2: identity
A photo of a government ID and a selfie or liveness check. Shuffle's upload screen accepts a passport, national ID card or driver's licence, with the driver's licence marked as recommended. The selfie is compared with the ID photo; some cases ask for a selfie holding the ID or a short video selfie.
Level 3: proof of address
A recent document showing your name and address. Shuffle lists bank statements, utility bills, government correspondence and tax bills as examples. It must be within the stated validity period, from the same country as your ID or profile, and a different document from the one used at Level 2.
Source of funds
Not a level as such, but a separate upload Shuffle can request at any stage: payslips, bank statements, exchange records or similar evidence of where the money came from.
Level 2 also has a small perk: Shuffle's weekly SHFL airdrop rules say a completed Level 2 lets you earn allocation at USD 10 wagered per SHFL instead of USD 20. There is no cash bonus for verifying.

When does Shuffle ask for verification?
Shuffle does not publish the thresholds, so the triggers below come from its terms and from player reports. Treat them as patterns, not rules.
- Your first withdrawal. The terms allow an ID check before it. Many small crypto withdrawals go through on Level 1; others are paused for review.
- Larger cumulative deposits or withdrawals. Moving up a level as volumes grow is normal at any licensed casino.
- Fiat routes. Interac (Canada), Pix (Brazil) and Mercado Pago (Argentina) balances tie to a named person, so details are needed earlier. Buying crypto by card through MoonPay or Swapped triggers the provider's own checks, separate from Shuffle's.
- Risk flags. A login from a restricted country, signs of a VPN (a breach of terms 8.4), several accounts on one device, mismatched names on a payment method, or bonus patterns that look like abuse.
- Big wins. A large withdrawal after a short history is a common moment for a Level 2 or 3 request and sometimes a source-of-funds question.
The pattern players complain about, on Trustpilot and forums, is a withdrawal held pending while documents are reviewed. Verifying early, while nothing is waiting, avoids most of that friction.
How to verify your Shuffle account, step by step
- Log in on shuffle.com or a working mirror. Your account, documents and balance are the same on every official address.
- Open Settings and the Verification tab. You will see which level you are on and what the next one needs.
- Complete Level 1. Enter your legal name exactly as on your ID, your date of birth and your full address.
- Start Level 2. Choose the ID type, photograph both sides if it is a card, and follow the selfie or liveness prompt. Good light, no glare, all four corners visible.
- Upload proof of address for Level 3 if asked. Use a full-page PDF or photo, issued recently, showing your name and the same address you entered.
- Wait for the status to change from in review to complete. Shuffle sends notifications and the tab updates.
- Answer source-of-funds requests through the upload screen or live support if they appear.
If the same request keeps coming back, ask live support exactly which field failed. The rejection reasons below cover most cases.
Why verification gets rejected
Shuffle's upload screens spell out the usual failures, and they are worth reading before you submit:
- Expired or unsupported ID. Only valid passports, ID cards and driver's licences pass.
- Selfie does not match. Poor light, a hat or glasses, or an old ID photo can fail the face comparison. Retake it in daylight.
- Proof of address too old or from a different country than your ID.
- Same document twice. A driver's licence used as ID cannot double as proof of address.
- Missing details. A bank statement must show your full name and, where asked, the account or card number.
- Name mismatch. The name on your profile, ID, address proof and any fiat payment method must agree.
- Edited or cropped files. Screenshots with parts cut off are refused; send the whole page.
A rejection is not an accusation. Fix the specific problem and resubmit. If it is rejected a second time with no clear reason, ask support for a written explanation.
Does verification affect deposits and play?
Crypto deposits and play generally work at Level 0 or 1. You can fund the wallet in any of Shuffle's 22 supported coins, play Originals, slots and the sportsbook, and earn VIP XP without uploading anything. The check matters when money leaves.
Verification does not change your limits by itself, but unverified accounts are more likely to see a withdrawal paused or a cap applied. Our withdrawal limits guide covers the caps that do exist.
A few situations make verification non-optional: fiat balances in supported regions, very large withdrawals, and any time the risk team has flagged the account. In those cases there is no way around it; trying to open a second account or use someone else's documents breaks the terms and usually ends with the balance confiscated.
Is Shuffle safe with your data?
Shuffle is a licensed operator bound by its own privacy policy and AML policy, both linked in the site footer. That is the baseline, and the 2025 incident shows it is not a guarantee: the leak came through a third-party marketing tool, not the KYC provider itself, but it still exposed some ID images. Our data breach page covers what was reported and what Shuffle said.
Sensible precautions:
- Turn on two-factor authentication through an authenticator app. Shuffle then asks for the code at login, on tips and rains, and on withdrawals.
- Expect phishing. After a breach, fake "verification required" emails are common. Shuffle will not ask for documents by email link or Telegram DM.
- Use a unique password and a dedicated email if you prefer.
- Keep copies of what you uploaded and when.
If you would rather not hand documents to an offshore casino at all, the honest answer is that very few licensed crypto casinos can pay out without some identity check. See our alternatives page for how other sites compare.

FAQ
Does Shuffle require KYC?
Sign-up does not, but the terms allow Shuffle to require government ID once you reach a threshold and in any event before your first withdrawal. Shuffle's own guide says most users need at least Level 1 to withdraw, and higher levels can be requested.
What documents does Shuffle accept for verification?
For identity, a valid passport, national ID card or driver's licence plus a selfie or liveness check. For proof of address, documents such as a recent bank statement, utility bill, tax bill or government letter in your name.
How long does Shuffle verification take?
Shuffle does not publish a review time. Automated checks can clear quickly, while manual reviews and source-of-funds requests have been reported to take longer. Submitting clear, complete documents is the best way to keep it short.
Can I withdraw from Shuffle without verifying?
Small crypto withdrawals are often processed at Level 1, but the terms allow an ID check before any first withdrawal, so you should not count on it. Verifying before you need the money avoids a pending withdrawal.
Why was my Shuffle verification rejected?
Common reasons are an expired or unsupported ID, a selfie that does not match, an old or foreign proof of address, using the same document twice, or a name that differs across documents. Fix the specific issue and resubmit.
Is it safe to upload my ID to Shuffle?
Shuffle is a licensed operator with a privacy policy, but some KYC images were exposed in the October 2025 Fast Track vendor breach. Upload only through the account's Verification tab, watermark copies, enable 2FA and ignore unsolicited requests for documents.
Do I get anything for completing Shuffle verification?
There is no cash bonus. Shuffle's airdrop rules say completing Level 2 lets you earn weekly SHFL allocation at USD 10 wagered per SHFL instead of USD 20.
Does buying crypto by card on Shuffle need separate verification?
Yes. Card purchases go through MoonPay or Swapped, which run their own identity checks and charge their own fees, separate from Shuffle's account verification.
